As part of the effort to control diversion, the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy has prohibited filling of prescriptions for any Schedule II medication written by out of state PAs. Prescriptions from out of state physicians from bordering states will continue to be filled as usual. This prohibition does not affect PAs licensed in Massachusetts.

To prevent inconvenience to patients use a pharmacy in Massachusetts have a physician sign any prescriptions for a Schedule II. If you hold a Massachusetts PA license and CSR you may use that identifier to write the prescription.
